My name is Steven Pollackov and I am the webmaster for the
Nassau Firefighters Pipes and Drums as well as one of the active pipers.

I would like to thank everyone for visiting our band's site.  I think the only thing better than everyone visiting this web site is to come out and join us at some of our parades and/or activities.  To begin, I would like to start of by saying thank you to everyone in our band.  They are a great bunch and I am proud to play the bagpipes for this band.  I have been a member of the band since 1996 and have seen this organization grow by leaps and bounds.  Even in rough times when it felt like we were going to go anywhere, the sense of pride and commitment helped us stick it out until our membership grew.  There have been many dedicated members who have tremendously helped this band stay on its feet.  I would like to personally thank Ed Murphy &  Tony Egan.  When I first joined this band, these were the two people that were the most dedicated.  If it weren't for them, I am not sure if this band would have succeeded.  It's amazing to see this band playing on the streets with the repertoire we have today, having seen it grow and mature from such a humble beginning.

I am in the process on adding a page of Fire & Police pipe band patches.  Please email a photo of your patch or logo to me if you would like to have it posted on our web site.  I will also be putting up some new links to bagpiping and band web sites, so email your favorite links as well.
