Pipe Major’s Message

Mike Tedeschi
Hello. My name is Mike Tedeschi and it is an honor to serve as the Pipe Major of this band and to lead a dedicated group of musicians who proudly represent the fire service of Nassau County. Our membership includes active and retired firefighters, law enforcement professionals, and civilians who share a deep respect for tradition, service, and the music of the Great Highland Bagpipe.
Our band stands on a foundation of discipline, commitment, and camaraderie. We honor the rich heritage of the pipes and drums, while continually striving to elevate our musical standard and overall professionalism.
Since taking on the role of Pipe Major, my focus has been clear: strengthen our musicianship, ensure every member performs our repertoire with confidence, and present a sound that reflects the dignity of the events we are privileged to play. Whether at parades, memorial services, or firematic gatherings, we aim to represent the Nassau County fire service with distinction.
I am sincerely thankful for the leadership that came before me, and those who continue to serve, as their efforts have created the strong foundation we now have the privilege to build upon.
Thank you for visiting our website and for supporting the Nassau County Firefighters Pipes & Drums.
